Meet the Team

Hello! 

          My name is Ada Wang. I was born and raised in Northeast China and earned my Master’s degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Liaoning Normal University in China with a focus on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. I hold a Washington State Teaching Certificate, with endorsements in Chinese Language and English Language Learners (ELL). 

       I have over 10 years of experience teaching Chinese to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. I’ve taught in public high schools, private schools, and language centers, working with both heritage and non-heritage learners ranging from kindergarteners to high school and college students. Besides I also have adults learners as my private students. I teach both online and in person.

        I have helped students successfully prepare for and pass a variety of language proficiency exams, including the HSK, STAMP test (for high school world language credits), and the AP Chinese exam.

       My students often say that Chinese feels easy and fun with my teaching style. I’m known as a dedicated, hardworking, and creative teacher who truly cares about my students’ progress and happiness. My classes focus not only on language, but also on cultural understanding, helping students feel confident and successful in academic, professional, or travel etc.

      In addition to teaching Chinese, I also have over 15 years of experience working with English Language Learners (ELL or ESL) across a wide range of age groups.
